Reduce the risk of health problems
As well as having a lot of short term benefits, drinking less is also a good way to prevent longer term health issues. Making small changes to the way you drink today could have a big impact on your life in the future.
Even if you tend to live in the moment, it’s worth thinking about how having a few less drinks could help you stay healthier for longer.
The less you drink, the lower your risk of:
- High blood pressure, heart disease and stroke
- Liver disease
- Cancers
- Depression and anxiety
- Memory problems and brain damage
- Alcohol dependence, or alcoholism
